Bringing World-Class Care to Under-Served Communities
Every year, the team at Windflower Vein & Vascular takes their skills abroad, volunteering alongside local providers in communities where access to specialized care is limited.

Good medicine does not stay inside four walls.
This past trip brought our team to Managua, Nicaragua, where they worked out of Clínica Fara treating patients with chronic venous disease, complex wounds, and musculoskeletal conditions that had gone unaddressed, often for years.
The cases were real and often advanced.
Some patients presented with venous insufficiency that had been left untreated long enough to cause significant tissue damage. Others had wounds requiring careful debridement and dressing. Many had simply learned to live with pain because no other option had been available to them. The Windflower Vein & Vascular team treated each one with the same standard of care and clinical judgment they bring to their own clinics.

Where Patients Meet Possibility
For the practitioners who made the trip, the experience tends to clarify what matters most in medicine. The fundamentals of good care are the same regardless of the setting, the resources available, or the complexity of the case in front of you. For the patients who came through Clínica Fara that week, many of them were seeing a specialist for the first time.
