Venous Care

Treating vein disease at the source
Varicose veins, aching legs, and swelling are usually signs of something happening deeper in the venous system. We diagnose the underlying cause and treat it directly, so results last and fewer follow-up procedures are needed.
Healthy veins move blood in one direction, back toward the heart, using a series of one-way valves. When those valves weaken, blood pools in the legs. That pooling is called venous insufficiency, and it is the reason varicose veins return after surface-only treatment. Our approach starts by finding where the reflux begins and treating it there.
Signs of venous disease
Vein disease looks different from person to person. Some patients come to us for appearance, others for symptoms that affect daily comfort. Common signs include:
- Varicose veins that bulge, twist, or ache
- Spider veins on the legs or ankles
- Heaviness, aching, or tired legs, often worse by the end of the day
- Swelling in the lower legs or ankles
- Itching, burning, or restless legs at night
- Skin changes near the ankle, including darkening or hardening
- Leg ulcers or wounds that are slow to heal
Symptoms that seem cosmetic are often the first sign of an underlying circulation problem. Getting them assessed early tends to mean simpler treatment.

How we diagnose
Every treatment plan starts with imaging. Using our in-house vascular ultrasound lab, we map how blood is flowing through your veins and identify exactly which valves have failed. This tells us whether your symptoms come from the surface veins, the deeper system, or both, and it lets us treat the true source rather than the visible result.
Because the lab is on-site, diagnosis and treatment planning happen in the same clinic, often in the same visit. This deliberate approach allows to specifically target the hemodynamic cause of the problem rather than simply destroying all dysfunctional veins. In this way, we can choose the most simple, cost effective, and least invasive treatment plan for each individual.
Treatment options
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)
Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy and Spider Vein Treatment
Microphlebectomy
Stripping and Ligation
Your specialist will explain which options apply to you and why, so you can make an informed decision.
A higher standard of vein care
The structure of a clinic, its diagnostic tools, and the training of its team all shape the quality of your treatment. Here is how our approach compares.
- Diagnosis and treatment in fewer visits. Our in-house ultrasound lab means imaging and treatment planning happen in one clinic. At most clinics, imaging requires a separate referral, facility, and appointment.
- Treating the source, not the surface. When venous insufficiency is properly identified and treated, recurrence rates drop and fewer follow-up procedures are needed. At most clinics, surface treatments are repeated without addressing the underlying cause.
- A collaborative specialist team. Your care is guided by a vascular surgeon, radiologists, phlebologists, and a vascular medicine and thrombosis specialist working from the same facility. At most clinics, one practitioner manages care, often without subspecialty training in venous disease.
