Dr. Sean Gregg, BSc, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Gregg was raised in rural Alberta. His residency in General Surgery was completed at the University of Calgary in 2009. From there he began a diverse surgical practice before returning to the University of Calgary for subspecialty training in liver and pancreatic surgery. He continues to hold an academic appointment with the University of Calgary. His practice is focused on liver and pancreas oncology, upper GI diseases, and venous insufficiency. His other professional interests include evolving surgical practice models for improved patient experiences.

Dr. Matthew Muirhead, BSc, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Matt Muirhead MD FRCSC is a Canadian General Surgeon with a broad and established practice spanning colorectal and breast oncology, hernia surgery, endoscopy, and venous disease.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Dr. Muirhead completed his undergraduate degree in physics at Mount Allison University before earning his medical degree at Dalhousie University. He went on to complete his General Surgery residency at the University of Alberta in 2003.

Dr. Shawnik Bhargava, MD, FRCPC, RPVI

Dr. Bhargava is a general internist with fellowship training in vascular medicine. He specializes in the treatment of arterial and venous disease, as well as adult thrombosis. Dr. Bhargava is committed to delivering patient-centred care, emphasizing early detection, prevention, and management of vascular conditions to improve long-term outcomes. He completed his medical training at the Lahey Clinic in Massachusetts. He is board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Vascular Medicine.

Dr. Douglas Hill, MD, FAVLS, DABVLM

Dr. Douglas Hill has been assessing and treating venous disease since 1989. He is Vice President, Education of the Canadian Society of Phlebology, Past President of the Canadian Society of Phlebology, a Fellow member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society, and a member of the American Venous Forum. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.

His work is frequently presented at national and international conferences on phlebology. He was one of Canada's first physicians to use ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, and other doctors frequently seek out his expertise in this area.

Dr. Fred Ollewagen, MBChB, LMCC, CCFP

Since graduating with his medical degree in 1990 from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, Dr. Ollewagen has spent over a decade focusing on cosmetic medicine and phlebology. In 2008, he took over ownership of what is now the Aurora Skin & Vein clinic, where he has expanded his scope and become a fellow of the Canadian College of Phlebology and a member of the American College of Phlebology. A certified Allergan Injector, he participates in biannual updates and advancements in cosmetic injectables with the Allergan Medical Institute of Facial Aesthetics
