Q: Is this the same clinic as the Vein Treatment Centre?

Yes. As of April 30, 2026, the Vein Treatment Centre is now Windflower Vein and Vascular. We're at the same University District location with the same care team and the same treatments. Only the name has changed.

Q: Why did the name change?

The clinic has joined Windflower Health, a network of specialty surgical and medical clinics across Alberta. The new name reflects that broader connection while our day-to-day care remains the same.

Q: Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

No referral is needed. You can book directly by calling the clinic or filling out the appointment request form on our website.

Q: How do I book a consultation?

Two options: call the clinic during business hours, or submit the appointment request form on our website. A team member will follow up to confirm your appointment.

Q: Where are you located?

We're in Calgary's University District, at the same address as the former Vein Treatment Centre.

Q: Is there parking available?

Yes. Underground parking is available, along with street parking nearby.

Q: What conditions do you treat?

We treat varicose veins and spider veins, along with related venous concerns. Our team will assess your condition during your consultation and recommend the appropriate treatment.

Q: What treatments do you offer?

We offer a full range of varicose and spider vein treatments: Endovenous Laser Ablation Microphlebectomy Sclerotherapy and Spider Vein Treatment Stripping and Ligation Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy

Q: How do I know which treatment is right for me?

That's what your consultation is for. After reviewing your symptoms, medical history, and an ultrasound assessment when needed, your physician will recommend the treatment best suited to your veins and your goals.

Q: What is Endovenous Laser Ablation?

A minimally invasive procedure that uses laser energy to close off a damaged vein from the inside. Blood reroutes naturally to healthy veins. It's done in-clinic with local anesthetic and most patients return to normal activities the same or next day.
